I think everyone needs to put this book on their reading list. I didn’t know much about Jackie Hill Perry, but I always enjoyed listening to her speak. I had no idea how great a writer she was! She writes in such a poetic way. The raw honesty will help you to understand better the process of someone who has gone through this and lived it. She does an excellent job of pointing you to the One that will love and help you through it. Many people think they need to clean up first and then come to Jesus when the reality is you come to Jesus and He cleans you up.

Do you know why we have a hard time believing that a gay girl can become a completely different creature?

Because, we have a hard time believing God. The Pharisees saw the man born blind, heard his testimony, heard about his past and how it was completely different from the present one and refused to believe the miracle because of who the miracle pointed to. They were skeptical of the miracle because they didn't have a real faith in the God who'd done it. The miracle was less about the blind man and more about a good God.
